2016 Federal Tyres King of Europe Kicks Off Despite Rain in Poland

The 2016 Federal Tyres King of Europe is officially underway with the season kickoff in Kielce, Poland. Despite mixed weather conditions with heavy rain upsetting some of the major racing action, drivers still push themselves to the extreme with dashing speed and skills.

Track familiarity certainly gives the advantage to local drivers as the Polish occupy nine positions out of top 10 rankings in qualifying. While heavy rain conditions surely disturb some of the best drivers, local road warriors, Marek Wartalowicz and Paweł Trela claim the second and third place on the podium. Against all odds, it is Austrian driver, Alois Pamper, who beats the weather and nabs his first ever King of Europe win.

"Federal Tyres has been the major sponsor of King of Europe for five consecutive years. We are proud to be part of the event and seeing its continuous growth and popularity while showcasing our best-of-breed tyres for street and racing performance,” said Da-Wu Chen, Sales and Marketing Director of Federal Tyres.

The second round of 2016 Federal Tyres King of Europe will head to Anneau du Rhin, France on June 11 and 12.
