Federal Jointly Sponsors AXCR 2016 as Couragia M/T Tyres Dominate Entire Rally

Federal Tyres is proud to continue sponsorship of the Asia Cross Country Rally (AXCR) 2016, promoting the ever-growing motor rally event in Asia. With a full line of SUV tyres already proving successful in the hands of elite drivers including the rally legend-Kenjiro Shinozuka over the past few years, Federal goes full throttle for one of Asia's toughest race, confident that the Couragia M/T tyres will duplicate their winning formula again this year.

This year's rally is held from August 13 to 19, starting from Pattaya, Thailand and ending in Siem Reap province, Cambodia by crossing Chanthaburi province of Thailand, then Koh Kong and Preah Sihanouk provinces, and Phnom Penh capital city of Cambodia. Racers from Japan, Cambodia, Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, India, and even Sweden all join the 2,400-kilometer race, with a total of 24 race cars and 45 race motorbikes.

While toughness and durability are the hallmarks for Federal Tyres, Federal not only sponsors the event, but also supplies participating teams including Team SHINOZUKA with CTS, Team TAGA meets NAIRAN, The Land Transport Association of Thailand Isuzu Singha Team, and TEAM VESSEL with FEDERAL TYRE with Couragia M/T tyres, which offer awesome traction on dirt, mud, and gravel to conquer the extremist terrains.

Rally legend Kenjiro Shinozuka once again collaborates with Federal and extends his domination over this year's AXCR. Federal's sturdy Couragia M/T tyre truly proves its persistence, allowing Shinozuka change tires just one time throughout the 2,400-kilometer race and stay focused on the race, which ultimately continues his crown and winning streak again this year.

"As a joint main sponsor of the AXCR 2016, Federal Tyres is proud to be part of Asia's largest motor rally event again. We look forward to participating more rally events around Asia and showcasing our sturdy Couragia M/T tyres dominating dirt, swamps, deserts, jungles, mountain roads, and river-crossings," said Da-Wu Chen, Sales and Marketing Director of Federal Tyres.
