Nicolas Delorme Dominates KON Brazil and Clinches World Title

Set to conclude the world drifting series, the 2016 Federal Tyres King of Nations (KON) just headed to Brazil for the final round. Drivers once again flocked from across the world to battle it out on the incredibly steep downhill circuit at Mega Space, which provided the ultimate test for all drivers.

With double points in this round, the race for the crown was fiercer than ever even during the qualification. Showing great determination and focus, French driver Nicolas Delorme made no mistakes as he managed to achieve the top spot while local driver Marcio Vieira and Diego Higa followed closely behind.

Delorme's fine form went full throttle all the way to dominate the race with easy knock out of Maykel Kuriyama in the Top 4. Despite seriously challenged into extra race by Higa and support from local fans, Delorme was able to cruise to Brazil victory and clinch the 2016 KON Championship. As the final results came in, it meant the second place went to Australian driver Michael Prosenik while Kuwait Nasser Almutairi nabbed the third spot overall!

"Federal Tires is very proud to participate all 2016 King of Nations events and will continue to sponsor such prestigious drifting events around the world for the fourth consecutive year. Thank King of Europe Limited once again for such a great year of excitement. We look forward to seeing more veteran and potential drivers showing superb skills and performance with our tires while the ever increasing fans enjoy themselves and have more fun in the year to come,” said Da-Wu Chen, Global Sales and Marketing Director of Federal Tires.
