Round 2, Drift Australia Series: Nathan Weissel confident of podium finish, with improvements to Fed

After qualifying an excellent fourth and finishing tenth in Round 1 of the Drift Australia Series in Tasmania, Nathan Weissel is determined for nothing less than a podium finish in Round 2 at Queensland Raceway this weekend.

During recent testing sessions, Weissel made a number of advancements to his Federal Tyres R32 Nissan Skyline, including improvements to his turbo and suspension programs.

Weissel will also be competing on new rubber this weekend, choosing to go with Federal RS tyres after running Federal’s 595 tyre in Round 1.

“We were finally able to get some test sessions in-between rounds that allowed us to make a number of improvements and with these changes now in place I’m quietly confident that we are on track for a very strong result,” concluded Weissel.

“Our aim for the weekend is of course a podium result, and there is no reason why we can’t do that as we most definitely have both the skills and speed in order to be on the podium.”

You can see Nathan Weissel compete this weekend, 12th – 13th April at Queensland Raceway, Queensland.
