What A Day And What A Result: Federal 595RS-R Dominated Round 3 Of D1 Street Legal In Japan

The 2008 D1 Street Legal Round 3 has traveled its third series to Okayama International Circuit in Japan. The gloomy weather and slippery track conditions made the running of professional drifting competition surely more of a “handling” track event than a “horsepower” game. The round this time has grown in size and stature with an impressive gathering of 32 car hailed from place to place all over the country has headed to competing fiercely in a wet and wild battle. Despite of showered situation, there was no stoppage of the excitement, neither an extensive participation in road race nor a sellout crowd of two thousand people filling out the grandstand, all of the elements has brought the combat even more challenging than usual to an incredible tension and tight twist than never before. During these grueling contests, the only thing that matters is the skill of the driver. In the final tandem, we saw one of the regional talents Noaki Nakamura - the Nara prefecture’s home-grown racer fought against all odds and accumulated the most scores to lead a pack of quick opponents as an all-around winner in Silvia S15 – burned Federal 595RS-R rubber in 235/40ZR17 front and 265/35ZR18 rear, while his teammate Seimi Tanaka was acclaimed the second podium finisher overall, also have the tires suited his Silvia S14.
